Drone Services

Sport Environmental provides licensed drone operations for aerial photography, video documentation, site surveys, and environmental project support across the Permian Basin. Our FAA certified pilots combine aerial capabilities with environmental expertise to deliver imagery and data that serves both operational and regulatory needs.
Eyes in the Sky. Expertise on the Ground.
Aerial perspective changes how you understand a site. From documenting the condition of a facility before an acquisition to monitoring the progress of a remediation project, tracking revegetation across a reclaimed lease, or providing visual evidence for a regulatory submission, drone technology gives oil and gas operators a level of site visibility that ground-level observation alone cannot achieve.

Sport Environmental operates unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with high definition cameras and piloted by FAA Part 107 certified operators. What sets our drone program apart from a general purpose photography service is the environmental context behind it. Our pilots are environmental professionals who understand what they are looking at from the air, whether that is stained soil around a tank battery, erosion along a containment berm, vegetation stress patterns that may indicate a subsurface issue, or stormwater drainage paths that need to be documented for a compliance filing.

That combination of aerial capability and environmental expertise means the imagery and video we deliver is not just visually useful. It is technically relevant, properly documented, and ready to support the project, report, or regulatory submission for which it was collected.

Why Operators Choose Sport Environmental for Drone Services

Licensed, Certified Pilots

Our drone operators hold FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificates, which is the federal certification required for commercial unmanned aircraft operations. We operate in full compliance with FAA regulations, including airspace authorization requirements, altitude restrictions, and visual line of sight rules. Our pilots also maintain the oilfield safety training (Basic Orientation Plus, SafeLand USA) required to access production facilities and well sites.

Environmental Professionals Behind the Controls

A drone is a tool. What matters is who is operating it and what they understand about the site below. Our pilots are environmental professionals who recognize contamination indicators, understand facility layouts, and know what regulators and project managers need to see. That expertise means we capture the right imagery the first time, without requiring a follow up flight because the photographer did not know what was important.

Imagery That Serves a Purpose

We do not produce generic aerial photography. Every flight we conduct is tied to a specific project objective, whether that is a remediation closure report, a Phase I site reconnaissance, an SPCC plan facility diagram, or a litigation exhibit. The imagery is captured, processed, and documented to serve that purpose, which means it is ready to be used the moment it is delivered.

Integrated With Your Environmental Projects

Most of our drone flights are conducted as part of a larger environmental engagement, not as a standalone photography job. When we fly a remediation site, the imagery goes directly into the closure report our team is writing. When we survey a facility for an ESA, the overhead shots support the site reconnaissance section of the Phase I report. That integration saves you the time and cost of coordinating between a photographer and an environmental consultant.

Oilfield Access and Safety Compliance

Gaining site access at oil and gas facilities requires specific safety certifications, and flying a drone near active production equipment adds another layer of operational considerations. Our team has the credentials and field experience to operate safely in these environments without disrupting your ongoing operations.
