Geoprobe Services
Sport Environmental owns and operates a GeoProbe 540UD direct-push sampling rig, enabling us to collect soil and groundwater samples at precise depth intervals without relying on third-party drilling contractors. This in-house capability means faster mobilization, tighter control over sampling protocols, and more efficient field operations. Our environmental professionals operate the equipment, collect the samples, and interpret the results, which eliminates the communication gaps that occur when sampling and analysis are handled by separate teams.
We also maintain a custom built mobile environmental laboratory that allows our field teams to process, log, and prepare samples on location. This level of field readiness is not typical of environmental consulting firms in the Permian Basin, and it gives our clients a measurable advantage in turnaround time, data quality, and project efficiency.
We Own the Equipment
Most environmental consulting firms in the Permian Basin subcontract their Geoprobe work to a third-party drilling company. That means coordinating between two schedules, two crews, and two invoices. Sport Environmental owns and operates our own GeoProbe 540UD, which gives us direct control over scheduling, field operations, and quality. The same team that designs the sampling plan operates the equipment and interprets the results.
Environmental Professionals, Not Just Drillers
Our Geoprobe operators are environmental professionals who understand the regulatory context of the data they are collecting. They know what the laboratory will need, what the regulator will ask for, and what the investigation objectives require. That knowledge shapes how every sample is collected, logged, and handled. You are not paying a drilling crew to punch holes and hand you bags of dirt. You are getting a field investigation conducted by people who understand what the data needs to prove.
Mobile Lab for Field Efficiency
Our custom mobile environmental laboratory is not a standard offering in this market. Having a dedicated field workspace for sample preparation, screening, and chain of custody management improves data quality, reduces turnaround time, and keeps multi-day sampling campaigns organized and efficient.
Faster Mobilization, Fewer Delays
When you need subsurface data, waiting weeks for a subcontracted drill rig to become available is not acceptable. Because we control our own equipment, we can mobilize to your site on a timeline that reflects your project’s urgency rather than someone else’s backlog.
Integrated With Remediation and Regulatory Services
Geoprobe sampling rarely exists as a standalone service. It is almost always connected to a remediation project, a Phase II ESA, a closure effort, or a regulatory filing. Because Sport Environmental manages all of those services in-house, the data collected during Geoprobe sampling flows directly into the next phase of work without requiring a separate firm to pick up where we left off.
